I got to Crowley’s Saturday evening. It was a very uneventful trip – calm the whole way. Six days to travel 600 miles with 78 hours operating time. I stopped to sleep in South Baymouth, Charlevoix, Frankfort and Saugatuck. Didn’t get off the boat.
It’s good to be here. Have been cleaning up and meeting old friends. I need to arrange an insurance survey while here.
Escapade will stay here for a few weeks while I’m back in Canada. Then it looks like we’ll head north in September.
i’ve had two occasions to deal with Crowley’s. They are great folks, and particularly Grant Crowley. Perhaps you have met him. He does a lot of wandering around, checking things.
He treated me, and perhaps everybody, very well.

Yep. I’ve known Grant for 35 years, and worked at the original yard on the south branch. I think he tries hard to treat everybody very well.

And Bruce too. To spiff up his listings of powerboats, he still has mine showing. Jeunesse, Back cove 29. From two years ago: sold. http://www.sailboatsalesco.com/powerboat.html
The whole experience of Bruce selling the boat – quick, smooth, and notably, fun.
