
I didn’t quite make it here yesterday. Around dusk it got quite foggy on the cut section. I stopped and anchored in an oxbow, then continued on down to here this morning. Went in to town for lunch.
Tomorrow I’ll noodle over to Carrabelle. There are about a dozen loopers gathering to head across the Big Bend. Looks like decent weather early next week.
In other news, I’ve turned on my satellite tracking. Keep up with me for the next few months here.
I anchored in the exact same place. My dinghy was a $30 Intex almost one person rowable (sort of) inflatable. And it was windy. Didn’t seem like a prudent thing to cross the water.
If you don’t already know, it is claimed that the inventor of air conditioning lived in town.

I meant to answer your earlier question. There is a park with what is I guess the town dock. I clambered up from my RIB but it wasn’t elegant. Not a dinghy dock.
